We support independence

We help people build confidence so they can participate beyond NICE.

NICE supports people experiencing isolation, low confidence and wellbeing challenges through culturally responsive, community-based activities across Hull, East Yorkshire and North Yorkshire.

Our programmes provide structured pathways that support progression from initial engagement through to active participation and increased independence.

What people say

Anna

Before joining Hullitage, I often felt lonely and disconnected, but through the project I found friendship, purpose, and a true sense of belonging. Taking part in regular events improved my wellbeing, gave meaning to my days, and helped me feel proud to be part of a city full of culture, history, and opportunity.

Basia

After struggling with anxiety and depression following cancer, NICE became a turning point in my life. It helped me rebuild confidence, open up to others, and see myself as a happier, stronger person. The friendships I found through the project feel like family, and that support has changed my life.

Mohammed

Hullitage helped me feel welcomed, included, and more confident in my community. Through meeting new people, exploring the city, and learning more about Hull’s history and opportunities, I developed a stronger sense of belonging, improved wellbeing, and meaningful new connections.
